I chose one of the tasks on the list based on my love of animals. If I could have a farm and rescue every animal ever, I would. I just have a backyard for my kid and puppy to run around though, and a chronic pain illness that means I can't really run with them, so that's probably not going to happen.
Luckily, I may be able to help some shelter dogs by doing a GISHWHES task that asked us to visit a shelter, and share the animals' stories. With the help of an awesome worker there, I got the stories of three pups that I'm going to be posting about over the next couple of days.
I'll be linking this post to my Instagram and Twitter posts, and editing it as need be, as I add pups to the lineup.
I know they said one dog in the task, but I could not just walk away with pictures of one. It doesn't work like that for me. I might write a longer post about my attempts at helping shelter dogs when I get some extra time. For now, I'll just present the pups I did meet today (August 6th, 2017) and hopefully get one or all of them adopted!!
